Inuit Art

Inuit art refers to artwork hand made by Inuit, the people of the Canadian Arctic, Alaska, and Greenland previously known as Eskimos. Today, demand for Inuit art, prints and figurative works carved in stone such as soapstone, serpentine or argillite is world-wide and growing.

Inuit Images Gallery of Fine Stone, Bone & Ivory Sculpture

Inuit Images Gallery has been offering the highest quality Inuit art since 1986. Although our gallery is on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, we also hold exhibits in different parts of the country twice yearly. Our collection of Inuit stone carvings, ivories, prints, drawings, artifacts, jewelry and books is extensive, and includes pieces from prehistoric to contemporary.

Our Inuit art works appeal to both the novice and advanced collector, and many of our customers have purchased from us for many years. We also buy older collections and pieces, and our inventory is regularly changing as a consequence.

Whether you are interested in a stone sculpture, a walrus ivory caring, or an Inuit print or drawing, we can guide you through your purchase and help you find that “just right” piece to add to your collection. If you are simply interested in learning about Inuit art, we carry many fine books on the subject.

Inuit Images aims to please all levels of collectors, and represents the best in Inuit art. We travel to the Arctic from time to time, and are regularly adding the very highest quality pieces to our gallery offerings. We love hearing from collectors old and new, and offer personal involvement in helping you find that perfect piece for your collection.
